I AM BACK ..

I am back from my maternity leave...EARLY...which is crazy but being financially in a bind I had to...
I had Iley via c section march 17 ... she weighed 7lbs 1oz things went well....this c section hurt alot more than my last tho (i have had 2 other) ...i got the bikini cut being i was much smaller with this baby...anyway....we went home the Sunday after i delivered her...only to wind up back in the hospital the following Friday...
I was reaching up into a cabinet to get something and all of a sudden i felt this warm "water" running down my legs....i thought OMG my water broke...then a second later i remembered i had the baby already...looked down to see i was covered in blood and so was my kitchen floor....my incision had busted open...( which i found out is no too uncommon) my 9 yr old freaked out ..he wanted to call 911 but was so freaked he just said mom i don't know what to do...i called my mom and boyfriend with in 10 min she was there to take care of the kids and tom was not far behind and being it was Friday after noon 5ish, i had to go to the ER .....which i layed there for 9 freaking hrs before a Dr actually came in to look at me then said we have to admit u ...which took another 2 hrs ...so i got to spend the weekend in the hospital ....got out the Sunday ...still packing this incision but was able to get them to release me yesterday .... i am EXHAUSTED ....but i am a mom...it is what drives me..what drives most of us...this past Friday tom took me out for dinner and a movie..my aunt kept the baby...and i could not sleep....so at 6 i took a pain pill...my 6 yr old called me at 8 to come get her and her sister...sooo needless to say ...no rest for me..lol...
anyhow...just wanted to say thanks to those of you who kept me in your thoughts and prayers...esp Liz

WOW what an ordeal! So sorry that you had to go through all that! So glad that Iley is doing well though. Hope you are getting better by the day!

I'm glad to hear that you and the baby are fine. Sorry about the incision opening. Was it infected, or did it just open up?

It was no infected, the Dr said he did see an area in my abdomen where there was just a void...nothing there...that area filled with fluid and escaped through the incision. i had some stitches but the surface skin was glued...he said he should have used a drain..like i had with the RYN
but let me say this...the second day i was home i was doing dishes..mopping, laundry....i did alot more than i should have been doing.
HOWEVER on my second visit to the hospital i contracted a bacteria ( which i am still fighting) called CDIFF (sp) horrible diarrhea and cramping....

That sucks. I'm glad to hear the incision wasn't infected though. I had that with my daughter and it was horrible! I'm praying that it doesn't happen this time.

C Diff is not fun. I hope you feel better soon. To prevent sharing it to everyone, wash your hands with soap and water a lot. Hand sanitizers don't kill the c diff bacteria. (I work in a hospital, so I know a lot about it.)
Drink lots of fluids.
